They have basic snorkeling floatation devices. I think she may be too young for this experience. My older children who try anything were a little overwhelmed at first.

There have not been any attacks that we had heard of. I felt they took precautions to keep us safe. The guide was very attentive and knowledgeable about the sharks behavior. …

But, you are swimming freely with sharks and it's up to you how comfortable you would be doing it. The experience was incredible for me and one of the best things I have ever done!!
How close can you get to the sharks? Is there free swim or do I have to stay on the top of the water with others?

Pretty close sometimes they are within 10 feet. It’s a deep water snorkel trip but you can dive down if your capable. Everyone is within 20 yards of each other
