COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s 2028 recruiting class is officially on the board. Running back Elijah Newman-Hall committed early Friday morning, giving the Buckeyes their first 2028 commitment not only at running back, but for the class overall.

On Tuesday, the Ohio State football recruiting efforts paid off with a verbal commitment from a 4-star edge rusher from California.

Ohio State landed a verbal commitment from running back Favour Akih in the 2026 class on June 8. Akih is a four-star prospect on the 247Sports composite rankings.
