Apple judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers has ruled that, effective immediately, Apple can no longer take a cut from purchases made outside apps and has blocked the tech giant from restricting how developers can point people to third-party payment options.

A District Court found that Apple willfully violated the court order in Epic Games v. Apple suit. "Fortnite" will return to the U.S. iOS App Store.

A US court finds Apple violated its orders in the Epic Games case, which has been ongoing since August 2020. It will see the return of Fortnite to iOS for the first time in over four years.
