Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned after a viral kiss cam video showed him and HR head Kristin Cabot cuddling at a Coldplay concert, sparking public backlash. While Cabot remains employed, legal experts say contractual obligations and internal investigations likely explain the delay in any action against her.

Another employment attorney, William Cafaro, told The Post he believes from what he’s seen, booting Cabot would be easy, but he suspects the company and her might be wrangling over an exit deal.

"The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name,” said cofounder Pete DeJoy.

Astronomer's interim CEO Pete DeJoy said in an update that the startup had "received a level of media attention that few companies" ever encounter.
