Intuitive Machines is set to launch its second moon lander, which will use NASA and commercially developed tools to search for ice in the moon's crust, after Odysseus tipped over during touchdown last February.

Intuitive Machines designed and will operate the Athena lunar lander on the company's second voyage to the moon's south pole to hunt for water.

A robotic moon lander known as Athena is scheduled to launch atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center with a mission to explore the moon’s south pole. The same rocket will also launch a moon-mapping satellite developed by NASA,

SpaceX plans to launch Intuitive Machines Athena lunar lander, aiming for the Moons south pole. The lander carries a drill, a rover and a robotic hopper to search for water and test a Nokia-built 4G network.
