American Airlines is upping its presence in Chicago with seven new nonstop destinations from O'Hare International Airport (ORD).

American Airlines will add more winter flights out of Chicago O’Hare to warm destinations like Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.

United and American have long been fierce competitors at O’Hare. But the pandemic, which decimated air travel, triggered a reset. American rebounded fast, then pulled back, and increased flying more quickly at its hubs in Dallas-Fort Worth and Charlotte than Chicago. This year, the airline has been revving up its schedule at O'Hare .
