The Rockies played one of their more solid games of a rickety season, got an excellent start from German Marquez, and four stellar innings from their bullpen. But they fell, 4-3, to the Cubs in 11 innings at chilly Wrigley Field and extended the worst start in MLB’s modern era to 9-46. The Cubs stole the game — literally.
After Tuesday's loss, Colorado's record slipped to 9–46, and they're already 25 games out of the lead in the National League West. They're still seeking their 10th win of the season, and at this point, they'll just hope to have secured it by the time the calendar turns to June.
