Retired MLB pitcher Daniel Serafini has been convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the shootings of his wife’s parents at their home four years ago near Lake Tahoe in California.

A former Major League Baseball pitcher has been found guilty of murdering his father-in-law in what prosecutors called a financially motivated attack.

Prosecutors accused Serafini of killing his in-laws in order for he and his wife, Erin Spohr, to gain access to a multi-million dollar inheritance after Serafini's baseball career ended.
