Saturday, thousands of people descended on downtown Denver to voice their opposition to the Trump administration and its policies.

More than a dozen rallies across the state were peace. Police used pepper balls and smoke on one group in Denver.

Residents of Denver joined in with the over 2,000 "No Kings" protests and rallies held nationwide on Saturday.

The organizer of one of the rallies in Douglas County expected 1,000 people to attend, but it appeared they may have surpassed that number.
