By Michel Rose PARIS (Reuters) -French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday he was visiting Greenland to show French and European Union solidarity with the Arctic island after U.S. President Donald Trump's threats to take it over.

French President Emmanuel Macron warned that Greenland is “not to be sold” nor “to be taken” in a key visit to the strategic Arctic territory coveted by President Trump.

President Emmanuel Macron said France would be available to conduct joint exercises to improve security in Greenland, the Danish territory coveted by US President Donald Trump.
