Starbucks founder Howard Schultz decided to move to Miami from Seattle after Democrats passed an income tax bill for Washington to levy a 9.9% tax on households earnings $1 million annually.

Schultz will be a resident of the Surf Club, Four Seasons Private Residences in Surfside — a luxury oceanside development that debuted a decade ago.

Howard Schultz said he and his wife will move to Florida as Washington weighs a roughly 10% annual tax on earnings over $1 million.
