Gaza's Health Ministry says the bodies of 79 people killed by Israeli strikes have been brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours.

The UN resumed aid deliveries to Gaza this week, after Israel ordered a temporary pause in the total blockade on food, water and medical supplies that had lasted 80 days. But US-Israeli plans are already underway to sideline the UN's entire relief operation in the territory.

Israel allowed 100 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said, as UN officials reported that no aid had so far reached people in need.
