More than 200 people were arrested in London Saturday during a major pro-Palestinian protest in the British capital, police confirmed.

British police said they arrested more than 200 people in central London as supporters of a recently banned pro-Palestinian group intentionally flouted the law as part of their effort to force the government to reconsider the ban.

Several protestors have been arrested in Westminster at demonstrations in support of the Palestine Action group
