Phillies add Bader to round out outfield in 2nd trade with Twins
President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski still needed to see every move that every National League team made before Thursday’s Trade Deadline, but he knows the Phillies are among a handful of teams trying to win the World Series.
Twins trade Bader to Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies acquired outfielder Harrison Bader from the Minnesota Twins for outfield prospect Hendry Mendez and right-handed pitching prospect Geremy Villoria, the teams confirmed.This is the second trade between the Phillies and Twins in as many days after Minnesota sent closer Jhoan Duran to Philadelphia on Wednesday.
In addition to Bader, the Phillies acquired closer Jhoan Duran from the Twins prior to the MLB trade deadline.
