Ukrainian officials say that a Russian missile strike Friday on the central city of Kryvyi Rih has killed at least 12 people, including two children, and injured more than 50.

More than 50 others were injured in the attack on Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian authorities said — a city still in mourning from an attack two days earlier.

A Russian missile attack killed at least 14 people, including six children, in a residential area of the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said, one of Moscow's deadliest strikes this year.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed on Friday that he had met with an envoy for President Vladimir Putin this week and sent him back to Moscow with a message: the clock is ticking on when there needs to be a breakthrough in the peace talks to end the Ukraine war.

Speaking from the White House as he announced tariffs on US imports of goods from around the world, Mr Trump said: ‘We’re going to get it stopped.’
