The annual Fourth of July fireworks show on the San Francisco waterfront will be held at 9:30 p.m. on Friday. The fireworks will be launched from two barges on San Francisco Bay, one located at Pier 39 and another located at Aquatic Park.

For a big city, San Francisco celebrated the 4th of July with a lot of small town charm. On the west side, in the city's newest park, Sunset Dunes, the San Francisco Pride Band warmed up, getting ready to march to mark the 4th.

Droves of people began setting up to watch the Bay Area’s biggest fireworks display in San Francisco on Friday. People began setting up their seats outside the Maritime Museum as early as 3 p.m. The show may attract bigger crowds than usual after neighboring cities had to cancel their shows after pyrotechnics were lost in the Yolo County warehouse explosion.
