The outcome of Tuesday’s election will determine whether Seattle has another bit player in the city’s network of housing providers or a new main character.

Tuesday is the deadline to return your ballots for Seattle's special election, which will decide whether to enact a new tax to pay for social housing, among other issues. Why it matters: It's your last chance to weigh in on whether the city should increase taxes on businesses to pay for public housing projects.

Kubiak also spoke about quarterback Geno Smith, who is once again the No. 1 subject of discussion this offseason. Seattle has to figure out what they want to do with Smith when it comes to his contract, but the goal seems to be focused on keeping him in the Emerald City for next year.

New OC Klint Kubiak said Seattle's offensive identity will be running the ball -- something the fired Ryan Grubb didn't do as often or as well as coach Mike Macdonald wanted -- but that they have to be able to win in more than one way.

That’s all great. But if Kubiak, new line coach John Benton from Saints don’t fix the offensive line Seattle won’t go anywhere.
