Two wildfires that started close to each other in the South Carolina mountains and burned an area over half the size of Hilton Head Island are nearly contained.

The three teenagers are accused of causing the Table Rock Fire after failing to extinguish cigarettes while on a hiking trail, officials said.

Four young people have been arrested on suspicion of starting the largest mountain wildfire in South Carolina history, officials said.
