In early February, the Phoenix Suns attempted to trade Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors without his knowledge. He eventually got wind of the negotiations and squashed the deal, but the writing was on the wall at that point.

The Brooklyn Nets reportedly offered to be a third team in a potential Kevin Durant deal between the Suns and Timberwolves.

However, Phoenix doesn't have to send Durant to San Antonio, Houston or Miami since the future Hall of Famer doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract. The Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors and Minnesota Timberwolves are the three wild-card teams chasing Durant, who has one year left on his contract.
