Russia launched drones and ballistic missiles at multiple targets across Ukraine, Kyiv authorities said on Friday, in a deadly air assault that left at least four people dead and 20 wounded in the capital.
At least five people were killed, including a child, and more than two dozen injured after Russian forces launched more than 100 drones, guided bombs and missiles at regions all across Ukraine overnight.
Ukraine on June 1 launched 117 individually-operated drones at four airbases across Russia, officials said, in an operation codenamed "Spiderweb".
Russian forces are advancing in the northern Ukrainian region of Sumy, bringing the regional capital within range of their drones and artillery, according to Ukrainian officials and analysts.
