WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Three people, including an 8-month-old infant, were fatally shot at a Utah carnival after two groups got into an argument, police said. Police officers working at WestFest at Centennial Park in West Valley City saw the two groups Sunday night.
Police say Ah Loo was an innocent bystander caught in the line of fire between peacekeepers and a man with an AR-15-style rifle.
Utah on Monday joined 54 other states and territories in signing onto a $7.4 billion settlement agreement with Purdue Pharma over its alleged role in fueling the opioid epidemic.
One of the hikers “managed to find a small ledge, just enough space to hold on while waiting for help,” troopers said.
