Boelter, a 57-year-old former appointee by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, was sought by police for allegedly shooting Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette and fatally shooting former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband.

Police arrested a man suspected of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses -- two fatally -- after a two-day manhunt, law enforcement sources told multiple news outlets Sunday.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports that Boelter was last seen on Saturday morning in Minneapolis, after the shootings, wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, a dark long-sleeve shirt, and light pants while carrying a dark cross-body bag.
