N ASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The stage has been set for College Gameday on Vanderbilt’s campus for Saturday’s live show in Nashville. It was announced Thursday that Middle Tennessee’s own comedian and actor, Nate Bargatze, will be representing the Commodores ahead of the big game on Vandy’s campus as the show’s guest picker.
Comedian Nate Bargatze will be the celebrity guest picker for ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning (8-11 a.m. CT) at Vanderbilt’s Wyatt Lawn. A noted Commodores supporter, Bargatze will be making his second appearance on the popular national pregame show, two years after his debut as a guest picker on Nov. 4, 2023, when LSU played at Alabama.
There are three ranked matchups this weekend, as the path to the College Football Playoff begins to take shape. At noon on ABC, No. 9 Vanderbilt take on No. 20 Texas and at 7:30, the No. 18 Oklahoma face No. 14 Tennessee. Vanderbilt's ranking is the highest since they reached No. 7 in 1937, according to ESPN Research.
