The 2025 Cardinal Mooney football team celebrated its Class 2A state championship win. Members of the school's first championship team from 1972 attended the celebration.

Leuzinger’s Journee Tonga is a coach’s dream. As a sophomore, Tonga played quarterback for the Olympians. Last season, he moved to running back and topped 2,000 yards rushing. He was the Daily Breeze’s offensive player of the year.

On Wednesday afternoon, West Linn announced that Anthony Newman will be the new head coach for the Lions. West Linn is already well-acquainted with Newman, who has been the defensive coordinator at the school. He also previously coached at Central Catholic.

Bishop Kelly, which won the Class 5A title and finished atop the final High School On SI Idaho rankings, had five players make the squad — the most of any school. In all, 17 schools had at least one player on the 2025 High School On SI Idaho all-state football team.

The final whistle has sounded, the state title trophies have been handed out, and as the dust settles on 2025 it is time to look back at the high school football season that was in Pennsylvania and remember the dogs.
