QR codes can house a whole lot of data, from the URL of a webpage or service, to where to directly download an app. Here's how to scan them.

1. If you have not already, install QR Code Reader on your iPhone and start the QR Code Reader app. 2. Position the phone to scan the barcode with your phone's camera.

It’s a snap to scan QR codes, because Apple built a QR code reader right into the camera. Simply open the camera app, hold the rear-facing camera steady so the QR code is clearly visible.
