National Hurricane Center monitoring area of interest in Caribbean that may impact Florida
Conditions are heating up still tracking what's left of Gordon, the remnants across the open waters of the Atlantic. This could potentially become a tropical depression or tropical storm over the next seven days. It's going to be a fish storm if it does so, but here's what we'll be paying close attention to. Off in the western Caribbean. We show a 30% chance for further development as we could potentially be looking at our next depression heading into the Gulf Coast in which we could have some deviation between the models. The GFS model does pull towards the Eastern Gulf, the European model pulls towards the West. So we're not agreeing quite yet. But as we continue with more model runs, we'll see that agreement start to tighten up. So by Sunday issues, we have low pressure forming. That's when we'll start to dial in and see if those models are starting to come together.
