Marco Odermatt is often referred to as the Roger Federer of ski racing, a flattering comparison to the tennis great and fellow Swiss icon.

Odermatt starts favourite for Saturday’s blue-riband downhill and the super-giant slalom a few days later — a double achieved only once before, by Kjetil André Aamodt in 1992.
