A map shows the fire risk across Southern California through to Wednesday. Strong Santa Ana winds are forecast to pick up again, threatening more communities with the risk of wildfires.
"A strong Santa Ana Wind event is expected to develop Monday and last through at least Tuesday," the National Weather Service said.
The Hughes Fire has spread over 8,096 acres after starting just before lunchtime in Los Angeles County's Castaic Lake area on Wednesday.
