Pat Surtain II of the Denver Broncos won the Defensive Player of the Year honors on Thursday at the NFL Honors ceremony.

Pat Surtain II has become seen by making receivers invisible. He has been good since he entered the league. Now, he is stamped with greatness. Surtain joined Hall of Fame linebacker Randy Gradishar as the only Bronco to win the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Surtain was named 2024 Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year at NFL Honors on Thursday, becoming just the second player in franchise history to earn the award. Denver's standout cornerback joins Randy Gradishar, who won in 1978, as the only Broncos to win the NFL's top defensive honor.

Surtain is a fourth-year cornerback whom the Broncos selected with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 draft. He is coming off a season in which he not only had a 100-yard pick six among his four interceptions, but he graded out as the league’s top cover corner by nearly all the scouting websites.
