SpaceX launched a double moon mission today (Feb. 26), sending a private lunar lander and a NASA orbiter to hunt for signs of water on Earth's nearest neighbor.

Blue Origin's 10th space tourism flight, nicknamed "Perfect 10," took off from West Texas on Tuesday. The six-person crew launched into suborbital space on the New Shepard Rocket and landed safely 10 minutes later. SpaceX will launch Intuitive Machine’s Athena lunar lander toward the moon’s south pole on Wednesday, marking the latest mission by Intuitive Machine to explore the moon’s surface after completing the first-ever lunar landing by a private company last year.
