After days of heightened tensions among Los Angeles city leaders, Kristin Crowley is now appealing Mayor Karen Bass’ decision to fire her as LAFD chief. Crowley announced her decision in a letter to City Council members on Thursday.
Former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley will go before the City Council Tuesday to make her case that she should be reinstated after her firing a week ago by Mayor Karen Bass.
Under the city charter, Crowley would need the support of 10 of the council's 15 members to be reinstated as chief.
