The Forerunner 970 starts at $749.99 and has up to 15 days of battery life in smartwatch mode. The 970 will have Garmin’s built-in mapping capabilities, with colored maps loaded onto the watch.

The Forerunner 970 is the high-end version of Garmin’s storied running watch line. It has a 1.4-inch AMOLED touch display that is incredibly bright—it’s quite a bit brighter than my Fenix 8.

As for the Garmin Forerunner 970, it also has the brightest AMOLED display found on the Forerunner 570. However, this one comes in a single 47mm size with a 1.4-inch circular screen.

The Forerunner 970 lasts 15 days or 21 multi-band GPS hours, while the Forerunner 265 lasted 23 days but only 19 multi-band GPS hours. It's 3g heavier than the Forerunner 965, but also 0.3mm thinner.
