Gavin Newsom filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit agains Fox News on Friday, accusing host Jesse Watters of falsely claiming that Newsom had lied about a phone call with President Donald Trump during the dispute over the use of the National Guard in Los Angeles.

Gavin Newsom is demanding $787 million in a defamation lawsuit against Fox News, alleging the network said Newsom had lied about Trump not calling him about the L.A. protests.
