We just got a major update about the next "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff, which is coming to HBO Max. "Big Bang Theory" co-creator Chuck Lorre was reported to be developing a new spinoff (aside from "Young Sheldon") for the recently-renamed streamer back in 2023 (per Variety).
The new / old branding can now be found across the streamer’s website and apps. It was reported yesterday that the switch might happen today, and the process is already underway. Max.com now redirects to hbomax.
It wasn’t loud, but it landed. The rebrand back to HBO Max confirmed what many had already felt. The name Max had never really clicked. People kept using the old name anyway. Now, it’s official again, and somehow, the whole service feels different just because of it.
