2 AM - 5 AM: A line of thunderstorms will begin to move into SE Texas. This line moves from the northwest to the southeast. Because of the timing, you make be awaken by the rumble of thunder. Thankfully, no storms are forecasted to produce tornadoes or damaging winds but heavy rain is expected.

Another round of rainfall is expected on Wednesday across the Houston area. A FOX 26 Storm Alert Day is in effect for Wednesday.

Today is a FOX 26 Storm Alert Day. Scattered storms are to be expected by late morning and throughout the afternoon with the chance of heavy downpours.

We’re expecting a lot of rain on Tuesday, and a flood watch has been issued for parts of Southeast Texas including Harris county.

While we are not expecting a widespread outbreak of severe storms or flooding, isolated spots, especially along and north of I-10 could receive 3-4" of rain, so street flooding is possible from midday today through early Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) here is an 80% chance of rain today, with new rainfall amounts possibly reaching between one and two inches.
