Netflix has renewed the comedy series for Season 2, which will consist of eight episodes like the first. The news comes less than two weeks after the series premiered on May 1. The renewal announcement was made by Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria on stage at the Netflix upfronts in New York City on Wednesday.

The Four Seasons has been perched atop the daily Netflix Top 10 since its debut on May 1. Based on the 1981 comedy written and directed by Alan Alda, the updated series was co-created by Tina Fey and features an all-star cast that includes Steve Carrell and Colman Domingo.
