Nicole Kidman’s bob era was short-lived. A few days after her Met Gala appearance, the actress debuted a new long, straight hairstyle at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, while there to support her husband, Keith Urban.

Nicole Kidman has debuted a new vibrant hair colour and style after she had fans thinking she had chopped her locks at this year’s Met Gala. The Oscar-winning actress stunned on the cover of Allure magazine’s May edition, where she looked almost unrecognisable at first glance.

The Allure shoot comes days after the Nine Perfect Strangers star made headlines for an alleged wig malfunction the 2025 Kering Women In Motion Awards in Cannes. Page Six claimed that photos showed that Kidman was wearing a lace-front wig that was pinned along her natural hairline but not adequately blended with her natural color.

As with her reported ‘wig snafu’ at the Cannes Film Festival Sunday, Kidman has become known for wearing hairpieces and wigs in her movies that call too much attention to themselves.
