A Russian drone attack on a bus in northeastern Ukraine killed at least nine people and injured seven others, Ukrainian officials said Saturday, just hours after the two countries met for the first direct peace talk in three years.

A family and pension-aged women were among the victims of a strike by a Russian Lancet attack drone on Saturday, said local authorities and President Zelensky.

A Russian drone struck a passenger bus in eastern Ukraine killing nine people and injuring four others, officials said. The attack came just hours after Moscow and Kyiv held their first peace talks in more than three years, which failed to result in a ceasefire.
