A Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian president’s home city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday killed at least 19 people, including six children, one of the deadliest strikes this year in a conflict that shows no sign of a swift end despite a push for peace by the Trump administration.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A Russian ballistic missile strike Friday on the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih killed at least 14 people and injured more than 50, Ukrainian officials said, as U.S. and European leaders pressed Russia to accept a ceasefire in the conflict.

More than 50 others were injured in the attack on Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian authorities said — a city still in mourning from an attack two days earlier.
