Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei freaked basically everyone out earlier this year with his prediction that AI would harvest half of all entry-level jobs within, possibly, a year.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who has served for years as the AI revolution’s unofficial hypeman, previously wrote that his company knows how to achieve Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)—a term technologists use to describe super sophisticated AI.
