ROMULUS, Mich. – A Spirit Airlines plane had all its passengers deboard at Detroit Metro Airport. It happened Thursday morning at about 9 a.m. This is a developing story. We have reached out to officials at DTW and Spirit and have not yet heard back as of the time of publishing.

A Spirit Airlines flight leaving Detroit Metropolitan Airport bound for Los Angeles on Thursday was evacuated due to a bomb threat. The incident was first reported at around 7 a.m. local time, according to the Detroit Free Press. The plane was boarded and on the tarmac when law enforcement officials were called in over "a potential security issue."
