GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Burmese python was "arrested" on Friday, Aug. 2 for preventing a driver from getting into their car.

After having problems with his car, a man in Hervey Bay, Australia, was "very surprised" to find a 6-foot python beneath his car hood.

Officers were in for a slithering scare when they had to remove a 9-foot-long Burmese python dangling from the undercarriage of a woman's car.

Authorities are investigating how a 7-foot-long Burmese python ended up under a car parked outside of a school in Pescadero on Friday afternoon.
