If you cannot or are unable to unpin a Taskbar icon or remove a Progam icon from the Taskbar in Windows 11/10, then read this post to solve the problem.

Did one of your Taskbar icons suddenly disappear? Fear not: it's easy to get it back, and in fact to pin any other program icon down there.

Microsoft is also updating the Copilot icon on the taskbar, and bringing the ability to dock, undock, and resize the Copilot pane.

To remove the icon you will instead have to head to Windows 11's Settings app and go to Personalization > Taskbar, before moving the 'Chats' toggle to the 'Off' position.

To pin Microsoft Edge to the taskbar in Windows 10, you'll simply need to open it and right-click its icon. You can also keep Edge in a Mac's dock.
