First State Educate is continuing the ‘Know Your Candidates’ forum series’ for school board elections. The forum is a series of virtual and in-person forums designed to inform Delaware voters ahead of the May 13th statewide elections.

Incumbents easily won the at-large, First, Third and Fourth district races while the open race in the Second District was decided by three votes.

It's election day in the City of Dover. Voters in Delaware's capital city are voting for an at-large position on city council. Contested races will also be settled in Dover's First, Second, Third and Fourth Districts. Voting hours are 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and the polling place is Elks Lodge 1903 on Saulsbury Road.

Genoa Township says it will shutter its fire department if a levy fails May 6 and again in November. Liberty Township's fire funding is less dire.

On May 20, you can bring your blank mail ballot to the polls and surrender it and the outer return envelope and vote in person. If you did not vote by mail but do not still have your mail ballot or the envelope to surrender at your polling place, you can vote by provisional ballot.

The Delaware County District Library will ask voters May 6 for a 15-year, 1-mill property tax levy amounting to $52.67 per $100,000 of property value.
