Andor Season 2 may be building up to introducing a major Star Wars character, but the Disney+ series may want to rethink this cameo.
Andor debuted on Disney+ in September 2022 and went on for two seasons before concluding on May 13, 2025. Notably, the series serves as a prequel to 2016’s Rogue One within the Star Wars franchise.
Ahead of the season one finale, Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy revealed that season two started filming on Monday, November 21 (via Collider), and it will carry on until August 2023.

It also reconfirms the release date, with Andor season 2 landing on April 22, 2025, exclusively on Disney Plus. As it stands, it’s the only new season of live-action Star Wars TV arriving this year.
