Jensen Huang is balancing Nvidia’s growing U.S. manufacturing push with efforts to preserve key partnerships in China amid rising trade tensions.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Beijing on April 17, meeting with senior Chinese officials and clients as the company continues to navigate increasingly complex US export controls.

Shortly before Huang’s visit to Beijing today, the company disclosed that the U.S. government had restricted its ability to sell H20 chips to Chinese customers. Nvidia stated on Tuesday that it expects to take a $5.5 billion charge as a result of the regulatory change.
