REGINA — The parent company of Bell Canada is planning to build a new data centre outside Regina that is billed to be a major contribution to Canada’s artificial intelligence sovereignty.

Canadian telecom firm BCE said on Monday it will invest an additional $1.7 billion to build a ​300-megawatt AI data center in Saskatchewan, with ‌Cerebras and CoreWeave signed on as tenants.
