President Donald Trump on Friday announced that electronics and software giant Apple was planning to relocate its manufacturing from Mexico to the United States. Neither the company nor chief executive officer Tim Cook has publicly confirmed the decision which Trump linked to the reciprocal tariffs which have gone into effect.

NEW YORK — Apple announced Monday that it plans to invest more than $500 billion in the United States over the next four years, including plans to hire 20,000 people and build a new server factory in Texas.
