The Attleboro Fire Department is warning residents to take precautions after multiple sightings of a venomous copperhead snake in the area of Ten Mile River. The snake is "not commonly seen in this region," the fire department warned in a Facebook post. At least two dogs have been bitten by the snake, which has been seen near Milk Street.
What was originally believed to be a copperhead snake that reportedly bit two dogs along the Ten Mile River may just have been a non-venemous northern water snake.
