After being drafted No. 23 overall in 2019, the 25-year-old is looking to reassert himself as an NBA player after spending last season in China. Although it is Summer League, the Lakers still provide a platform for players to showcase their talents and that is what Bazley is on a mission to do.

Darius Bazley, a forward on the Lakers' summer league roster, is determined to return to the NBA after being out of the league this past season.

For the Lakers, that player hasn’t been last year's first-round pick Dalton Knecht or Bronny James, who has only played one half, but five-year pro Darius Bazley. A 6’9”, rangey forward with a seven-foot wingspan and two-way ability fits the archetype that LA and many teams are looking to find as a possible hidden gem.

Darius Bazley led all scorers with 27 points and combined with Dalton Knecht to lead the Lakers to a comeback win over the Spurs on Tuesday night.

Bazely continues to impress during his stint with the Lakers during the Summer League, as he got the job done defensively Saturday, while also managing to record a double-double. The 25-year-old racked up a game-high five blocks to go along with a team-high two swipes.

The LA Lakers may have found a solid two-way option to bolster their frontcourt depth in veteran Darius Bazley after he lit up the California Classic Summer League on Tuesday.
